The Great Gatsby: Get The Look With Antoine+Stanley

Posted on 29 May 2013 by Chris Ford

Having just seen Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation  of The Great Gatsby this weekend I have been blown away by the colours and costumes featured, and it seems to have inspired Australian brand Antoine+Stanley with their new range of mens brogues.

As you can see they have taken classic styling with a modern colourful twist much like the film.

The range will be onsale via ASOS.com and select independent retailers  from mid July and I really cant wait to check them out!

Whether we like to admit it or not we all one the quiet fancy ourselves as being a bit of a James Bond,  but have you ever wondered how James Bond smells?   errm no me neither but I was recently send the new Bond Ocean Royale fragrance to try and I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised how nice it is.

Ocean Royale is the second in the series of Bond scents, its a very summery fresh scent that really reminds me of lazing by the beach sipping a cold beer, or in Bonds case a Vesper Martini?

At £24.50 for a 50ml bottle its very competitively priced but don’t be fooled into thinking this is a cheap cash in as it genuinely does smell great and the scent seems to last quite a while too, I thoroughly recommend all you budding spys check it out.

VitaMan Skin Pod

Posted on 17 May 2013 by Chris Ford

I like to travel as much as possible but when I do I’m often on one of those budget airlines where luggage space is a little on the tight side, I stopped taking a full size was bag with me a while back as it just took up too much room, and the products within were all full size as that’s all you can really buy in supermarkets and is really OTT for a few days away.

So a few weeks ago I was packing to go to Philadelphia for a short break and I decided I needed a more compact solution for my toiletries and upon looking came across the VitaMan Skin Pod

Instead of the usual oblong shape of most toiletry bags this is kind of a flat square which is surprisingly usefully for squeezing into the tiniest places in your luggage.

The Skin Pod comes with the following included :

Vita Man Face Scrub 50Ml

Vita Man Face Mud Masque 50ML

Vita Man Face Moistener 50ML

So pretty much all the products you will need for a well balanced skin routine, there’s also a nice bit of space in there where I managed to get in a folding toothbrush and toothpaste which left me pretty much set for my trip, I thoroughly recommend checking out the Skin Pod if you like to keep up a good skin routine like I do.

For more info on the Vita Man Skin Pod and the other great products they have on offer head over to

Where to Gamble in Las Vegas

Where to Gamble in Las Vegas

Posted on 13 May 2013 by Chris Ford

You could be forgiven for thinking that wherever you set foot in Las Vegas is a sure-fire bet as far as finding yourself a top-drawer gambling destination is concerned. The sad reality is that this simply isn’t the case, and much as you just might find an old boot nestling amongst a net-full of salmon, you’ll find there are some gambling haunts nestling amidst the Las Vegas gems that don’t even nearly live up to their home town’s reputation. Here are a few suggestions that’ll help you avoid the few bad apples if you’re planning a trip to the world’s most iconic party town:

The MGM Grand: They don’t come higher profile than this place. The MGM Grand is truly a super-casino. When it opened in 1993, the Grand boasted the largest hotel in the world, and can still lay claim to the largest holiday resort complex in the United States, with 19 restaurants, a vast array of shops and a leisure complex which features five outdoor pools along with a series of rivers and waterfalls that cover a staggering 6.6 acres. The MGM Grand is not only big, it’s beautiful, particularly so since its ‘Grand Renovation’ project in 2011, which has imbued this ‘Gaming City’ with a contemporary edge.

Bellagio: Arguably the world’s most elegant casino, the Bellagio’s classical bowed façade tells you everything you need to know about the superb class of this establishment. Particularly notable are the wonderful Fountains of Bellagio, the soaring water jets that line the front of the building so gracefully, made famous by Brad Pitt & Co. in recent spy caper Ocean’s Eleven. The Bellagio is also notable for its beautiful conservatory and botanical gardens, which offer guests some respite from the dynamic pace of Vegas life.

The Street: Nope, we’re not talking about some cutting edge new establishment called The Street. We actually mean the street, any street in Vegas in fact. Simply load up a game of poker, slots, you name it on your smartphone or tablet using a reputable online casino app such as PokerStars after reading up on your Texas Hold’em strategy, and you can enjoy the thrills of casino gaming from the sidewalk. This option is actually particularly great for Vegas, as it offers gamers the opportunity to wander amongst the magnificent surrounds of not just one, but many of the world’s greatest casinos whilst they get their kicks.

Caesar’s Palace: The magnificent towers of Caesar’s Palace dominate the Las Vegas Strip, proud and brash monuments to the American Dream. With regular entertainment from the likes of Elton John and Celine Dion, along with some of the city’s most celebrated restaurants and interiors, it’s not hard to see why this place is amongst the most legendary casinos in the world.
